So awesome! Wish I was out there with you! Stay safe. 😎🫡🪂🪂🪂
That whole day was filled with carnage. It felt like a victory just to survive!
Top speed ?
Around 103mph (165kmh) but with taller gearing and a long enough straight you could hit around 108/110mph
Always an amazing video footage Willie! 👍
Thanks Jack! Congrats on the podium!
If you want to ride like lightning, always remember, you can crash like thunder.
Glad to help out. Looking forward to the finished video🤙🏁
You didnt show the winner ...
You gotta wait for the full race story to come out lol
@@thedoctorchocolate Thanks for working on this, cant wait to see my win ;)
@@dhslammer Nice man! Congrats on your win!
Awesome! 👏
Oh nice! I'm glad they were able to be matched up. Peter is a horse!
Yeah he is!
So amazing and inspiring! Go Stan! Vive La Grange!
24 mph on the last part of the final lap?
Yeah there was a big push in the first half of the lap and then it came to a crawl before the final surge.
Fire editing brother 🫡
Thanks brotha!
Beautiful edit
Thanks man!
Why are there no cars? Did they close the road?
In those canyons there are a ton of different roads across the mountains, that particular road gets very very few cars.
muy buen video! con que programa pones la velocidad? Garmin Virb ? porque ya no carga el mapa para sincronizar. Gracias
Muchas gracias! Si, yo solia el Garmin Virb para los datos. Pero solo para mi camara al frente.
Wish I was there with you. CAT 4 & 5 is honest racing. 😎✌️🪂🪂🪂
I think they may do another round there this year. If they do, I highly recommend coming out! It’s a hard but super fun race.
We’ll done, more stats next time.
What is the mountain bike racing series called?
It was called the Non DOT Racing series. I think now they're under the banner of Race OCMTB
“Hey fellas…let’s ride full tilt in the gutter and see what happens…?”
from someone who started racing nearly 40 years ago and seen a steady decline in discipline and standards the riding's terrible. No one's keeping a straight line. See why I don't ride with MAMILs.
don't race on the hoods. bumping should be expected and if you're in the drops you can shake it off.
YA!! Looks like so much fun racing on that track!
Brutal but so much fun!
Looks like the rider stayed upright?
hey doctor where ur ktm rc😢
yes, you're responsible for your front wheel. That said, it stinks to behind someone who doesn't corner well. Maybe that was the case, maybe not. Hope the crashed rider recovers well.
Another Banger, bro cooked
Thanks bro!
Great editing on the introduction. Hoping you have a successful year racing. Remember to never be around a guy wearing PAS Normal or Rapha kit at the finish😂
😂 thanks bud!
Jerome again
I'm looking forward to the Chuck Pontius crit too! Wonder when it will be this year...
That was my favorite race last year! Right now it looks like it is scheduled for June 16th.
Love the music. Who the hell wants hear a bunch of guys yelling at each other or road noise.
😂 truth!
Music is soo distracting. Destroys the enjoyment of the cycling
Lol, you’re not gonna like my channel.
Freds......
Rennnnn how was that you hahaha aw man
LOL! A bunch of weekend warriors on $10K bikes pretending they're racing for money. It's been 30 years since I raced cat 3 or 4 and even THEN we knew better.
damn bruh
Speedy recovery to the cyclist who went down. Crit racing is not to be taken lightly.
Nice work all around! You always impress with your hard work and skill!
Thanks, Tony!
Yeh baby 😊
Nice Will!!!
That was an incredibly well done poetic video. Nice composition and sound editing. The music was also well curated. Glad I subscribed more content like this please.
Thanks bud! It definitely helped to have the beautiful backdrop for the course.
This brings back bad memories of so many crashes I was either in, or witnessed, during the 25+ years I was in the sport. I guess I have to be grateful though for the fact that the worst injury I ever suffered from crashing was a severely sprained wrist. Wishing a speedy recovery to the racer who crashed!
Yeah, it's a rough sport but man it's addictive. I just wish there was money put into developing better safety gear.
I didn't see it hit his face...hit the bars
Not the bars, he takes a wheel to the face. Watch the slo mo. Even with a wheel to the face he kept it up!
@@thedoctorchocolate nah
Freakin ROADIES. SPANDEX WEARIN......... BORRRRRING!!!!!!!
😂 I wish it was boring! If it was, I’d spend my weekends drinking beer on the couch watching racing
Mtb is also boring. Coming from a dirt biker
@@yukiko_5051 then go eat dirt.
I don't get why folks want to race so much. The costs are to great.
The love and the thrill of competition. I hate the danger and the injuries. I wish the maximum cost was road rash. But there’s nothing like being fully locked into a moment, firing on all cylinders, thinking about nothing else but how to beat the human who’s in front of you and relying on all of your training, experience, and talent, to accomplish something that 99.99% of the population of the world could never do. It’s like being in a parallel universe. Quite frankly, it’s the most fun you can have with your pants on.
Sometimes you just have to face your fears …
the danger is what makes racing so cool. everyone knows they could get messed up but courage overrides and they go for glory. it's truly inspiring. i hope bro recovers quickly and comes back even stronger. 🙏
Imo riding fast and the need to strategize under pressure is what makes it cool. If I could do every race knowing I'd never crash I'd freaking love it 😂
Road racing, like in motorsports or cycling, can be pretty intense and risky. The high speeds, tight turns, and close competition definitely amp up the danger factor. Sometimes it does not matter how skillful or experiences you have :). thanks for all the videos and stay safe!
Very true! And part of the thrill is the element of danger but I always hate injury element.
Yeah...shout out to Matt Rios for not crashing with a flying bike in his lap...beautiful save. So John Lance, our victim is in the hospital with a fractured clavicle, pneumothorax and multiple broken ribs.
I was like hey there's Shaun. Hey there's Matt...uh oh...
🙏's for a speedy recovery!
It's all fun and games until you get a bike to the face! 😭😭
Right! Somehow he kept it on two wheels too.
Glad you are okay
Thanks, Omar! Me too!
The road debris and gravel would definitely cause me to re evaluate my risk aversion when going for a CA descent KOM. Saw gravel kicked up by motorcycles com8ng out of blind corners on Piuma and Latigo
Yeah, if you're going for a true KOM, I would sweep the corners and have a spotter. I imagine Safa does something similar but I could be wrong.
Nice I was there minute 9.56
Nice! How'd you do?
@@thedoctorchocolate I got like 20 place
